Last Thursday, October 10,2024, the 23rd floor of the Torre Colón in Barcelona became the meeting point for theValidated ID partner network at its annual event, VIDpartners 2024.
This meeting brought together VIDsigner resellers and integrators, consolidating once again the value of collaboration and teamwork.
The event kicked off at 18:30h with the reception and accreditations, followed by the #VIDsunset and an opening toast that led to an evening full of novelties and celebrations.
At 19:30, the attendees were able to learn first-hand about Validated ID's annual summary, presented by founding partners SantiCasas (CEO), Fernando Pino (CLO) and Iván Basart (CTO).
During his speech, Santi Casas highlighted the continued growth of VIDsigner, which has reached more than 50 million electronic signatures in more than 40 countries, thanks to the support of more than 300 partners.
He pointed out that the key of this success lies in the solid relationship with the network of partners, who have been fundamental in the expansion of the company. Santi also emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptability in an extremely competitive market, and announced new functionalities in VIDidentity, the self-managed digital identity platform that is making Validated ID a leader in European digital identity projects.
Increase in Validated ID's global business and new partners
Santi Casas also shared that Validated ID's global business has experienced a 33% increase over the previous year, reflecting the effectiveness of the strategy of expansion and strong collaboration with partners.
This growth has been possible thanks to the addition of new partners and customers in key markets, reflecting the consolidation of the VIDsigner electronic signature on the international scene

On his part, Fernando Pino talked about the evolution of the regulatory framework and Validated ID's position as a Qualified Trusted Service Provider by the European Union under the eIDAS regulation. In addition, he explained the main novelties of eIDAS2, highlighting the identity wallet regulation and explained why the requirements for nonqualified providers have been tightened.
The draft modification includes new trust services, such as the management of electronic ledgers, the issuance of qualified attributes, the provision of electronic archiving services and the management of remote electronic signature devices

He also highlighted the importance of staying at the forefront of security and regulatory compliance, critical factors for the company's continued success.
Finally, Ivan Basart presented the company's most recent technological advances. He highlighted the new design of VIDsigner Remote, which has been completely renewed to improve its performance and responsiveness on devices of various sizes. This upgrade is currently available in pre-production, with production implementation expected in November.
In addition, Ivan talked about the launch of VIDissuer, a portal designed to issue credentials from various sources, such as email, phone and KYC processes.
This portal has the functionality to transform inherited IDs into digital credentials that can be easily used from the digital wallet, thus improving accessibility and usability for end users

The new ID Wallet was also presented, which has been completely redesigned to make theuser experience even more accessible and user friendly.
In the new VIDwallet, UX and UI tests were performed to improve usability, and many interface features were added to convert the wallet from a solution “for geeks” to one “for any type of user”.New features include card customization, search, sort and categorization options, as well as a simplified view of credentials.

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the VIDpartners 2024 awards ceremony, which recognized the work of four partners for their innovative and customized business practices, considering the complexity of the services they offer and their outstanding sales performance.

After the awards ceremony, VIDpartners enjoyed a lively cocktail and networking session, highlighted by an exciting draw where Guillermo Sanchez from Ricoh Spain won a 13-inch iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. This year, Validated ID led an exciting digital journey with VIDidentity, allowing participants to discover how verifiable credentials work and how they can transform secure information management.
The event concluded with drinks and music, closing a memorable night for all attendees.
